"Hoosier Blue" Goat Milk Bleu Cheese
This farmstead cheese is made in small batches with fresh milk from our herd of healthy goats. You can feed yourself and your family real food that does not have any chemicals or GMO ingredients. Just good for you, real cheese.
This is aged, pressed goat cheese with blue veining throughout. The degree of blue varies from one cheese wheel to another. This cheese is excellent on its own or with crackers.
This blue cheese melts very well and is wonderful on top of burgers or steaks. It doesn't crumble well since it is creamier, but can be cut up into pieces to be added to salads or wraps. It will make a great addition to a cheese plate.
It currently has a mild blue flavor, but that may strengthen as it continues to age.
And yes, the rind on this blue cheese is edible (and very good). PJ eats it all the time, but some (less adventurous) eaters in the Jonas family prefer to leave it behind.
